ACC Sets League Record with 20 MLS Draft Picks

Four ACC players selected on Sunday in third and fourth rounds

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Four ACC men’s soccer players were drafted on Sunday afternoon as the 2018 MLS SuperDraft wrapped up via conference call with the third and fourth rounds.
                                     
The four draft picks on Sunday brings the ACC’s total to 20 players selected in the 2018 MLS Draft, more than twice as many as any other conference and the most in a year in league history.
 
Four ACC players were selected in the third round: Virginia's Pablo Aguilar (Houston Dynamo, 59th), NC State's Caleb Duvernay (Portland Timbers, 61st), Virginia's Sheldon Sullivan (Houston Dynamo, 66th), and Wake Forest's Luis Argudo (Columbus Crew SC, 67th).
 
Eleven of the 12 ACC programs had at least one player drafted.
