GREENSBORO, N.C. - Clemson's Danielle Hepburn and Miami's Bridget Bomhack have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Volleyball Player of the Week after leading their respective squads to multiple wins to end the 2007 regular season last week. The honor for Hepburn is her fourth of the season. For Bomhack, the league recognition marks her first this season, and the first for a Miami player in 2007.

In two contests against Maryland and Boston College last week, Hepburn put up some of her best numbers of the season. At Maryland on Wednesday, the middle hitter from Miami, Fla., posted 11 kills and just two errors to go along with four blocks, as the Tigers won in three games. Then, at Boston College on Friday, Hepburn recorded 17 kills on just 26 attempts, good for a hitting percentage of .577 as Clemson again swept its opponent. In the two matches, she averaged 4.67 kills per game with a .533 hitting percentage and 0.83 blocks.

Bomhack, a junior outside hitter from Waukesha, Wisc., was equally impressive in the Hurricanes' two wins last week. She registered 12 kills and 12 digs with four blocks in Miami's 3-0 sweep of North Carolina on Wednesday, and then had 13 kills, with a hitting percentage of .391, 11 digs and three blocks in a sweep of NC State on Friday afternoon. For the week, she averaged 4.17 kills per game with a .373 percentage, 3.83 digs per game and 1.17 blocks per game as Miami finished the season with a 14-17 overall record, including an 8-14 record in conference play.

This Friday, Hepburn and the Tigers will open the 2007 postseason with their first-round match in the NCAA Tournament. Clemson will host Alabama in round one at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. Should they win their first-round match, they will advance to face either UCLA or Alabama A&M on Saturday, Dec. 1.
