GREENSBORO, N.C. - Virginia Tech's Felicia Willoughby, a sophomore middle blocker from Pleasanton, Calif. was selected today as the Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week after leading the Hokies' to pair of sweeps over Boston College and Maryland.

Willoughby posted an impressive .525 hitting percentage over the weekend with 27 kills on 40 attempts with six errors. The reigning ACC Freshman of the Year also had 10 blocks in the two matches. She had 14 kills on 18 attempts without error on Friday night for a .778 hitting percentage to go along with six blocks. On Saturday in the win over Maryland, Willoughby scored 13 kills on a .318 hitting percentage. She paired the attack numbers with four digs and four blocks as Virginia Tech moved into a tie for fourth place in the league.

Virginia Tech will finish up the 2008 regular season on the road. The Hokies travel to Wake Forest on Thursday night before visiting Duke on Friday night for the regular season's penultimate game. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. Thursday's match between Virginia Tech and Wake Forest will be available on ACC Select.
