CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Talisa Kellogg posted 20 kills and Ulrike Stegemann added 19 kills while hitting .424 to lead Georgia Tech (14-10, 6-8 ACC) to an exciting 3-2 (18-30, 30-23, 30-16, 30-32, 16-18) victory over Miami (9-15, 6-9 ACC) Friday at the Knight Sports Complex on the campus of the University of Miami.

Blue Devils Take Down Tar Heels In Four Games

DURHAM, N.C. - Freshman Rachael Moss had a career-high 23 kills while hitting .396 and added 20 digs as the Duke volleyball team defeated Tobacco Road rival North Carolina, 3-1 (30-21, 30-23, 28-30, 30-12), Friday night in front of a season-high 1,751 fans at Cameron Indoor Stadium. With the win, Duke improves to 21-3 overall and 14-1 in the ACC while the Tar Heels fall to 6-18 and 4-11, respectively. Duke improved its home-court win streak to 28 matches dating back to the 2004 season.

TALLAHASSEE, FL - The Tiger volleyball team handed the Florida State Seminoles just their fifth conference loss in a one hour and 20 minute match on Friday night at the Lucy McDaniel Court in Tallahassee, FL. The win was Clemson's 11th sweep of the season and 10th ACC victory, moving them ahead of the Seminoles in the league standings.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest had four players record double figures digs as the Demon Deacons raised money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation along the way to defeating ACC-rival NC State in three games Friday evening. The Deacs breezed past the Wolfpack 30-25, 30-19, 30-24.

Virginia Volleyball Serves Up 3-0 Win Over Maryland

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Virginia volleyball team matched its season-high with 15 service aces while rolling to a 3-0 (30-18, 30-25, 30-20) victory over Maryland before a Memorial Gym record crowd of 817 Friday evening (Nov. 3). Fourth-year setter Emily Kirkwood (Tampa, Fla.) became UVa's career leader in aces as she notched the 155th ace of her career. The Cavaliers have now won five consecutive matches and improve to 18-6 overall and 11-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Maryland had its three-match winning streak snapped and falls to 11-12 overall and 4-10 in the ACC.

Boston College defeats Virginia Tech, 3-2

BLACKSBURG, Va. - Freshman Taylor Parrish's career-high 24 kills were not enough to lift the Virginia Tech volleyball team over Boston College Friday night. After dropping the first two games 30-25 and 30-26, the Hokies fought to win the next two, 30-22 and 30-22, before dropping the final game of the match 14-16. Tech dropped to 14-10 overall, 8-7 in conference action, while the Eagles improve to 7-16 overall, 6-8 in the ACC.
