Duke's Carrie DeMange Earns ACC Volleyball Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke senior Carrie DeMange has been named ACC Volleyball Player of the Week, winning the honor for the third time this season, after posting some very good numbers in two Blue Devil wins over the weekend. Against Virginia Tech on Friday, DeMange recorded 16 kills with a hitting percentage of .406 to go along with 10 digs as the Blue Devils won in three games. On Saturday against Virginia, one of the league's top teams, the Springboro, Ohio middle blocker posted yet another double-double, putting up 29 kills, 28 digs and eight blocks. In the two matches, she averaged 5.62 kills per game with a .381 hitting percentage, 4.75 digs per game, and 1.50 blocks per game. The No. 14 Blue Devils, currently occupying second-place in the ACC, will play two more conference matches this week. Friday they travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to face Boston College before tripping to College Park, Md. for a Sunday match at Maryland.
