The win was Clemson's fourth straight to better their overall record to 9-4 with a 4-1 ledger against conference opponents. The loss dropped the Eagles to 5-10 overall and 3-3 in the ACC. Wake Forest Rallies for Five-Game Win Over Virginia Tech WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest got career nights from several players to overcome early hitting woes and post a come-from-behind five-game win over Virginia Tech Friday evening at Reynolds Gymnasium. The Blue Devils improve to 12-2 overall and 5-0 in the ACC while the Cavaliers fall to 12-4 overall and 5-2 in league play. Brown and Gillming Power Terps Over Georgia Tech, 3-2 COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Jade Brown and Beth Gillming's double-doubles powered the Terps over Georgia Tech in a five-game win (16-30, 30-23, 22-30, 30-26, 15-13) for their first ACC victory of the season tonight before 643 at the Comcast Center. The Terps improve to 8-7 overall (1-5 ACC), while the Yellow Jackets fall to 8-7 (0-5 ACC). Pack Takes First Game But Falls at Miami, 3-1 The NC State volleyball team fell to Miami, 3-1, on Friday, Oct. 6, in Coral Gables, Fla. The Pack took the Hurricanes by surprise in the first game, winning the point and taking an early lead. Miami, however, bounced back and took three-straight frames to claim the victory. With the loss, the red and white fall to 2-13 (0-6 ACC) on the season, while the Hurricanes improve to 6-9 (3-3 ACC).
