GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia’s Lauren Dickson, a junior Outside Hitter from Austin, Texas was chosen today as the Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week after a pair of double-double performances over the weekend.

On Friday, Dickson registered 10 kills and 12 digs in the Cavaliers’ 3-0 sweep over Boston College for their first conference win of the season. She improved on those numbers a day later in the 3-1 win over Maryland. Dickson had 15 kills and 21 assists to extend her streak of consecutive double-doubles to four straight. She also posted a career high five blocks and recorded a service ace. Dickson now ranks sixth in the league this season with 3.33 kills per set.

Virginia will now wrap-up their four-match road swing with matches at North Carolina and NC State. The Cavaliers will visit the Tar Heels on Friday night at 7 p.m. before facing the Wolfpack on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Friday’s tilt between Virginia and North Carolina will be available on ACC Select.
