GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke middle hitter Carrie DeMange has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for her performance at the Nebraska Ameritas Players Challenge in Lincoln, Neb.

Over the weekend, DeMange averaged 5.38 kills per game, 4.0 assists per game and 0.5 blocks per game with an overall hitting percentage of .303 in matches against No. 1 Nebraska and Louisville. In Friday's match with the top-ranked Huskers, the Springboro, Ohio, senior had 15 kills on just 25 attempts, registering a .440 hitting percentage to go along with eight digs. DeMange was named to the Challenge All-Tournament team for her efforts in the two matches.

The Blue Devils, ranked 16th in the latest CSTV/AVCA Coaches Poll, will take the coming weekend off before opening their conference slate at home against Wake Forest on Tuesday, September 16.
