Clemson's Hepburn Named ACC Volleyball Player-of-the-Week
Aug. 28, 2007
GREENSBORO, NC - Danielle Hepburn, a junior on the Clemson volleyball team, was named the first ACC Player-of-the-Week for the 2007 season after a stellar weekend at the Microtel Mississippi State Classic.
Hepburn was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament after leading Clemson to the title with wins over Arkansas-Little Rock, Murray State and host Mississippi State. The native of Miami, FL recorded team-bests with 39 kills and 20 total blocks over the three-day event, while tallying an impressive .458 hitting percentage. She also set a career high for block assists in the Mississippi State contest with 11. Her kills and block totals in the Murray State and Mississippi State contests led all players.
The honor is the second of Hepburn's career as she earned a player-of-the-week nod once last season.
The Tigers will return to action on Friday, Sept. 7 as they will play host to Florida A&M in day one action of the 17th annual Big Orange Bash.
