Clemson's Danielle Hepburn Selected ACC Volleyball Player of the Week
Aug. 28, 2007 GREENSBORO, N.C. - Clemson's Danielle Hepburn, a junior from Miami, Fla., has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of Week for her efforts in the Mississippi State Microtel Classic over the weekend. A returning first-team all-conference performer, Hepburn picked up right where she left off in 2006, leading the Tigers to three dominating wins and the tournament title. Hepburn compiled 39 kills over the three-game tournament with an impressive .458 hitting percentage for the weekend. In addition to her offensive production, the middle hitter came up big on defense, registering eight digs, four solo blocks and 16 block assists in the three games. In the final game of the tournament against host Mississippi State, Hepburn had 17 kills with only two errors, posting a .536 hitting percentage and 11 total blocks. For her tournament performance, she was named the event's Most Valuable Player. Hepburn and the Tigers will take the coming weekend off before playing host to Florida A&M, Furman, and Purdue at the Big Orange Bash in Clemson, S.C. on September 7-8.
