50th Anniversary Teams Announcement Schedule

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference 50th Anniversary Volleyball Team was announced today by Commissioner John Swofford. The 53-member team was voted on by the nine league institutions as decided by the league's 50th Anniversary Committee.

Duke led all league schools with 10 members on the Golden Anniversary team while Clemson and North Carolina were tied for second with seven honorees each. Georgia Tech, Maryland and NC State each had six players selected, followed by Florida State (5), Virginia (4) and Wake Forest with two.

The ACC's 50th Anniversary Volleyball team, in alphabetical order, is as follows:

Kerry Annel, Georgia Tech (1992-1995)
1995 ACC Player of the Year ... Led Tech to 1995 ACC Tournament Title ... Two-time first-team All-ACC and freshman All-ACC ... Named to the 1994 and '95 ACC All-Tournament teams ... Named to the AVCA All-District III team (1994 and 95) ... Earned AVCA National Player of the Week honors (11-7-94) ...
