The 2004 recruiting class for the Duke University volleyball team was ranked as the 18th best in Division I by PrepVolleyball.com. Duke's class was ranked the best in the ACC, as no other league team earned a spot in the top 30 of the website's rankings.

"I'm very excited not only about this freshman class but for the coming season, as well," Duke head coach Jolene Nagel said. "Our players are ready to hit the court again, and this class will make us a better team and give us a fresh perspective."

Duke returns 10 players from last year's squad along with the four that comprise the 2004 recruiting class.
