The NC State volleyball team announced its schedule for the 2004 season. The Wolfpack will open up the season on the weekend of September 3-4 at Reynolds Coliseum, where it will play host of the Summit Hospitality Wolfpack Classic. Joining NC State that weekend will be Elon University, Wofford College, UNC-Asheville and UNC-Wilmington.

The Summit Hospitality Wolfpack Classic will mark the first of three tournaments the Wolfpack will participate in during the first month of the season. On September 10-11, NC State will travel to Lehigh, where it will face non-conference opponents Marist, Columbia and host Lehigh. Tournament play will wrap up at Coastal Carolina on September 17-18. There, the Wolfpack will battle Coastal Carolina, Long Island and UT-Chattanooga. Scattered around each of the three tournaments will be non-conference matches against East Tennessee, East Carolina and North Carolina A&T; all of which will be played in the friendly confines of Reynolds Coliseum.

After facing the Aggies, NC State will begin Atlantic Coast Conference play on the road at Clemson and then Georgia Tech. The Wolfpack will continue to play 16 conference matches, but will only play home-and-away contests against Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and newcomers Miami and Virginia Tech. Meanwhile, NC State will battle Virginia and Maryland in Raleigh, while taking to the road for matches against Duke and Wake Forest.

The 2004 regular season will come to a close at Miami on November 14. Afterwards, the Wolfpack will have a couple of days to prepare before heading to Charlottesville, Virginia for the ACC Tournament on November 18-21.
