Chapel Hill, N.C.-- The University of North Carolina volleyball team will host a Carolina Spring Classic on Saturday (April 28) at Carmichael Auditorium beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. Scheduled to compete in the Spring Classic are George Washington, Georgetown, UNC-Charlotte, East Carolina and University of Illinois. Two courts will be set up for simultaneous play as the teams square off in unofficial games. The event is free and open to the public.

Although the UNC's season ended in November, the team continues to practice and hone their skills throughout the spring season. This event is an opportunity for the Tar Heels to work on individual skills and techniques and also provides underclassmen with additional exposure and playing time.

Carolina volleyball, led by coach Joe Sagula, won its second consecutive ACC Championship title in 2000 and advanced to the first-round of the NCAA Championships.
