WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball team closed out its spring play with a three-match sweep of Western Carolina, Davidson and Appalachian State this past weekend. The Demon Deacons also hosted an alumni game and defeated the former players, 3-0.

Wake opened up the weekend with a 30-23, 30-15 victory over Western Carolina. Moving on, the Deacs defeated the Wilcats, 30-18, 34-32, before closing up the formal competition with a 30-22, 30-23 victory over the Mountaineers.

In the alumni game, the Deacs faced former players, including the four newest alumni, seniors Christy Williams, Erin Borhart, AJ Nicholas and Klarysa Henry. Against the alumni, the current players won, 3-0.
