Clemson Sweeps Boston College On Senior Night CLEMSON, SC - Jeannette Abbott and Danielle Hepburn rose to the occasion on Senior Night, playing in what could be their last game at Jervey Gym and leading their Tiger team to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-10) sweep of Boston College on Saturday night. Clemson now boasts a 21-9 overall record with a 13-6 mark in ACC action. "We are going to miss Dee and Jeannette so much," said Tiger Head Coach Jolene Jordan Hoover. "They proved tonight just how valuable they have been to the team and this program."
Duke Stays In Hunt For ACC Title With 3-0 Sweep Over Virginia DURHAM, N.C. - Rachael Moss and Kellie Catanach both recorded double-doubles for the second straight night to help the Duke volleyball team to a 3-0 (26-24, 25-15, 25-21) win over Virginia Saturday evening at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Moss put down 14 of her 36 attacks and collected 15 digs, while Catanach doubled up with 43 assists and 13 digs in the win. Duke (23-8, 14-5 ACC) improved to 11-1 at Cameron Indoor Stadium and stayed tied atop the ACC standings with North Carolina.
Seniors Lead Tech Volleyball to 3-0 Sweep of Maryland ATLANTA - Allie Niekamp notched her eighth double-double of the season on a night when the Yellow Jackets honored their five seniors as Georgia Tech (20-9, 12-8 ACC) breezed to a 3-0 sweep (25-12, 25-19, 25-13) of Maryland (6-25, 2-17 ACC) Saturday evening at O'Keefe Gym. The win gave the Yellow Jackets 20 victories for the third-straight season, and Tech eclipsed 20 wins for the sixth time since Bond Shymansky took over the program in 2002.
