Volleyball ACCtion: Tuesday, September 18
Sept. 18, 2007 DURHAM, N.C. - The No. 14 Duke volleyball team swept Wake Forest 3-0 (30-13, 30-23, 30-27) in its ACC opener Tuesday evening in Cameron Indoor Stadium. With the win, the Blue Devils (6-3, 1-0 ACC) run their home winning streak to 35 straight matches. The Blue Devils have also won 11 straight meetings against ACC opponents dating back to 2006, and 30 of their last 31 conference matchups dating back to 2005.
Sophomore Rachael Moss paced Duke with 17 kills while also picking up 14 digs for her team-leading sixth double-double. Senior Carrie DeMange also recorded a double-double, her fourth on the year, with 12 kills and 16 digs. Junior Jourdan Norman led all players with a .615 hitting percentage on nine kills in 13 attempts in addition to her match-high four blocks. Senior setter Ali Hausfeld tossed up 40 assists while classmate Jenny Shull totaled a match-high 18 digs.
