Storrs, Conn. - The Boston College Volleyball team earned its first win of the season, beating Quinnipiac University 3-0 in their final match of the University of Connecticut Volleyball Classic.

The Eagles had no trouble with the Bobcats as their average margin of victory was just under 18 points per game.

Senior Shardai Davis led the offensive attack for BC with 14 kills, while sophomore setter Brittany Pierpont turned in another impressive match tallying 32 assists. Sophomore Jenna Benigno led the Bobcats with 5 kills and 7 digs.

Playing in their second match of the day and final of the tournament, the Eagles were able to salvage a win after a tough five game loss against Connecticut the previous night.

BC will look to continue their winning ways as they next face Towson University, Friday, September 15, at 4:00 p.m. at the University of Rhode Island Tournament in Kingston, RI.
