GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest women's tennis player Ana Jerman was named to the 2006 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic women's tennis team, as announced Wednesday by the conference office. Jerman joins 19 athletes from around the ACC on the inaugural squad.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career. In the spring, Jerman earned a 3.199 grade point average, while cumulatively she owns a 3.029 gpa.

In her rookie season Jerman compiled a 24-12 overall singles record and was nationally ranked for the majority of the spring season. Playing the entire year in the No. 3 position, the Ljubljana, Slovenia native earned a 7-4 conference mark.
