Five ACC Women Earn ITA Tennis All-America Honors
Honorees among sport's elite for 2012 season.

GREENSBORO – Five Atlantic Coast Conference women’s tennis student-athletes have earned 2012 ITA Division I All-America honors.

The women’s team features ACC Player and Freshman of the Year Beatrice Capra of Duke, Georgia Tech’s Jillian O’Neill, Miami’s Anna Bartenstein and the North Carolina doubles team of Shinann Featherston and Lauren McHale.

To earn All-America status in singles a player must be a top 16 seed in the NCAA Singles Championship, reach the round of 16 of the NCAA Singles Championship, or be ranked in the top 20 of the final ITA rankings. To earn All-America status in doubles, a team must be a top eight seed in the NCAA Doubles Championship, reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship, or be ranked in the top 10 of the final ITA rankings.
