Cargill Falls in Quarterfinals of NCAA Individual Action
May 24, 2001 STONE MOUNTAIN, GA. -- Duke freshman Ansley Cargill fell in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Individual tournament to sixth-ranked Bea Bielik of Wake Forest (7-5, 6-4) on Thursday in Stone Mountain, Ga. Cargill, ranked second nationally from Atlanta, Ga., concludes her season with the third-most singles wins in school history with 45. The loss for Cargill is just her fourth of the season.
The 2001 Duke's women's tennis season comes to a close with Cargill and
senior Kathy Sell being honored as All-America. The Blue Devils finished
with a 27-2 record.
