GREENSBORO, N.C. - Florida State's Lauren Macfarlane earns her first league honor this season, as the sophomore from Ogden, Utah, has been tabbed Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her performance the week of March 11-17.

Ranked as the nation's 73rd singles player, Macfarlane went undefeated in both singles and doubles action to help No. 16 Florida State close out its non-conference schedule with a 7-0 shutout victory at No. 42 UNLV last Wednesday. She took UNLV's Elena Gantcheva to three sets and defeated the 28th-ranked player 7-6, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) at the top singles position. In doubles, Macfarlane paired up with Jessica Wente to claim an 8-5 win over Sharon Marin and Nikol Dimitrova at the No. 2 spot and clinch the doubles point for the Seminoles.

FSU is back on the road for a pair of ACC matches this weekend, as the Garnet and Gold travels to Virginia Tech on Saturday and then heads to Virginia on Sunday.
