First-seeded Clemson defeated second-seeded Duke 4-2 in the championship match of the 2004 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Tennis Championship at the Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center in Raleigh, N.C.
Clemson won the doubles point with victories from Lacelarie/Coin at No. 2 and LeSaldo/Rombouts at No. 3, before claiming singles wins at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4. Clemson's Julie Coin, Alix Lacelarie and Maria Brito all earned singles decisions. Brito clinched the victory for the Tigers to capture the women's title for the first time since 1987 and the seventh time overall.
The Tigers improve their record to 22-3, while Duke drops to 19-4. Clemson's Alix Lacelarie was named the ACC Tournament MVP.
