MALIBU, Calif. -- Wake Forest freshman women's tennis player Bea Bielik was eliminated from the singles competition at the NCAA Individual Championships at Pepperdine University on Wednesday.

Bielik was defeated by Aarthi Venkatesan of Georgia 1-6, 6-7 (3) in the round of 16 of the national tournament. By reaching the round of 16, Bielik earns All-American honors.

Bielik ends her freshman season at Wake Forest with a record of 31-4. She was 24-1 in dual matches over the course of the season. Bielik and teammate Janet Bergman will compete later tonight in the doubles competition at the NCAA Championships.
