Duke Women's Tennis Sweeps NC State, 9-0

RALEIGH, N.C. - The second-ranked Duke Blue Devils swept NC State 9-0 in women's tennis action Wednesday at the Wolfpack Tennis Complex. Duke's Vanessa Webb, ranked No. 3 nationally, began the match with a 6-1, 6-2 win over NC State's Nena Bonacic at No. 1 singles.

At No. 2, the Blue Devils' Megan Miller, ranked 21st nationally, downed Marissa Gildemeister, 6-0, 6-0. Duke also won all three doubles matches. Webb and Karen Goldstein, ranked No. 3 nationally, earned an 8-0 win over NC State's pair of Marissa and Katrina Gildemeister at No. 1 doubles.

NC State (9-5, 0-3) returns to action on Friday, April 2, at No. 16 South Carolina. Duke improves to 12-2, 4-0 for the season.
