CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Boston College senior softball players - Jenna Macchi and Britney Thompson - were both honored at 2007 Northeast All-Region selections by TPS Louisville Slugger. Macchi earned first-team honors,while Thompson was a second-team honoree.

Macchi, a Milford native, played in 45 of 46 games and had a batting average of .318. She finished the season with 48 hits, 30 RBI, 10 doubles and nine homeruns. Macchi, an ACC All-Conference second-team selection, hit three homeruns in two games this past season to set a new school record.

Thompson, Utah native, went 10-17 on the mound. She had an ERA of 3.93 and struck out 77 batters in 151.1 innings pitched. At the plate, Thompson hit .383 and had 53 hits, 31 RBI, 11 doubles, one triple and 10 homeruns.
