GREENSBORO, N.C. - Atlantic Coast Conference softball placed 10 student-athletes on the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District first- and second-teams, as announced Thursday by CoSIDA. Leading the way with three selections each were Florida State, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. Maryland added one member to the All-District squad in District 2.

Five of the honored athletes were also named All-ACC at the 2008 pre-championship banquet in College Park this past Wednesday. ACC Pitcher of the Year Angela Tincher and teammate Jenna Rhodes, as well as Florida State's Carly Wynn and Georgia Tech's Whitney Haller were named to the first-team in District 3, while the Yellow Jackets' Aileen Morales was named to the second-team.
