GREENSBORO, N.C. - Florida State's Teresa Edenfield has been named the ACC Softball Player of the Week after leading the Seminoles to four conference victories last week and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, and North Carolina's Radara McHugh has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week after leading the Tar Heels to a pair of wins over SASA foe East Carolina.

Edenfield, a native of Marianna, Fla., was the Seminoles offensive leader last week as she went 5-for-12 and provided key hits in two of Florida State wins last week. In the first game of the week at Virginia, the senior outfielder had a two-run double that plated the winning run in the ¡Noles 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Cavaliers. In game one of FSU's doubleheader with Maryland, her two-run homer game FSU a 5-3 advantage and the Seminoles went on to earn a 10-3 victory. On the week, Edenfield recorded five RBI , a double and a home run to go along with her .417 batting average.

McHugh turned in a solid performance in North Carolina's doubleheader with East Carolina last week. In the first game, she scattered four hits in seven innings of work to give the Tar Heels a 2-0 victory. The junior, Tulsa, Okla. product struck out nine of the 25 batters that she faced in the contest and did not allow any hitters to reach base via a walk. In the second game of the twin bill, McHugh went four innings giving up one hit and only one earned run, striking out a pair of Pirate hitters, as UNC went on to the 4-3 win. On the year, McHugh leads the Tar Heels and the ACC with a 1.07 ERA and has compiled an impressive 23-6 record.
