(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Eighth-seeded Florida State stunned top-seeded UCLA, 2-1 in extra innings today in the NCAA Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

The Seminoles' Monique Marier hit a home run in the top of the ninth, then made a diving catch in the bottom of the inning for the final out with two UCLA runners on base.

Today's game was delayed for 36 minutes because of lightning.

UCLA scored first with a run in the bottom of the first inning. Florida State tied the game with a run in the fourth before Marier's ninth inning heroics.

FSU will play in the winner's bracket Saturday afternoon and UCLA will play an elimination game tomorrow afternoon.

More to come.
