Tiffany Johnson's Perfect Game Helps No. 23/16 Softball Sweep Maryland And Clinch ACC Regular Season Title The last no-hitter in Georgia Tech history was a combined one between Johnson and Sarah Wood in an 11-1 win over Lipscomb on March 3, 2007. The last perfect game in Yellow Jacket history was hurled by Jessica Sallinger against Florida State on March 26, 2005. Redshirt junior Jen Yee was on base eight times in nine at bats as she went 3-for-3 with two home runs and five RBI. She also drew five walks. Johnson improved to 14-3 on the season as she threw just 61 pitches, 43 for strikes. She had nine strikeouts and only one three-ball count all game. Kristen Adkins improved to 22-7 with the game one victory. She scattered eight hits, all singles, and was charged with two unearned runs. Adkins walked three and struck out four. Seminoles Pull Off Doubleheader Shutout Over Eagles Starting in the circle for the Noles in the early game was Hamilton (16-5) who picked up her second career no-hitter, was just one walk away from a perfect game, and struck out 14 Eagles. The sophomore righty now leads the FSU pitching staff and the ACC with a 0.91 ERA and has cracked into the Seminole single-season top 10 with 248 punch outs so far this year. The Seminoles broke out in the sixth inning, picking up two runs on three hits. Freshman Shayla Jackson led off and was on with a single up the left side. Catch Kaleigh Rafter would draw a walk and advance Jackson to third, followed by a fielder's choice that put Ashley Stager on first and sent Jackson back to the dugout. Tech picks up two big wins in Greenville For the day, the Hokies scored 16 runs on 22 hits and tossed two shutouts in picking up two quality wins. Both opponents came in with over 30 wins and NCAA RPIs in the top 60 (ECU 48, Campbell 59). In the first game of the day, the Hokies broke out the bats and got a stellar pitching performance from Kenzie Roark as Tech blanked Campbell 10-0 in six innings. The Camels, who have already won the Atlantic Sun regular-season title and are now 34-14, came into the game hitting .303 with 74 home runs, but Roark shut them down and shut them out for the first time this season.
