Dani Weir's Walk Off Shot Gives Softball 2-1 Win Over NC State
The Boston College softball team (17-26, 3-10 ACC) overcame a 1-0 deficit in extra innings, rallying for a 2-1 victory over NC State in the bottom of the ninth inning on a solo home run by Dani Weir.

In a classic pitcher's duel, Taylor Peyton and NC State's Mendy McKenzie matched each other pitch-for-pitch as the game remained scoreless for seven innings.

Both teams had chances to score before the game headed to extra innings. In the bottom of the second inning, the Eagles loaded the bases with two outs in the inning after Gemma Ypparila was hit by a pitch and Taylor Peyton walked, moving Amy Tunstall, who had reached on a single, over to third base. But McKenzie was able to strike out the next BC batter to get out of the inning.
