GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference had 44 women's soccer student-athletes, including four who garnered top regional recognition, earn postseason honors when Soccer Buzz Magazine announced its regional awards for the 2007 campaign.

Ten of the 11 league schools competing in the sport were represented in three regions, as the Southeast had 28 selections, nine from the Mid-Atlantic and seven in the Northeast.

Florida State's Mami Yamaguchi, a 2007 finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, and Virginia's Nikki Krzysik were named Player of the Year in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, respectively.

Taking the top regional rookie award was Boston College's Hannah Cerrone (Northeast) and Florida State's Amanda DaCosta (Southeast). ACC Coach of the Year Tricia Taliaferro of Miami was the Southeast Coach of the Year runner-up.

All Soccer Buzz Awards are based on a nomination process open to all NCAA Division I Coaches and balloting results of a voting panel of selected Division I head coaches and Soccer Buzz Staff. All 314 Schools sponsoring women's soccer in 2007 were eligible for national and regional awards.
