GREENSBORO, N.C. - Ashley Kinser of Virginia Tech has been selected Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week accolades after helping the unranked Virginia Tech Hokies shut out No. 10 Boston College to close out the regular season.

A native of Johnson City, Tenn., Kinser made her last regular-season home game a memorable one as she tallied two goals in a 3-0 upset victory over 10th-ranked Boston College on Sunday. The defender scored both her goals in the first seven minutes of the game to help the Hokies post their biggest win against the highest-ranked opponent in the program's 15-year history.

Kinser finished the week with five points on two goals and one assist. She picked up an assist earlier in the week in a 4-0 shutout victory against Longwood last Thursday.

Virginia Tech (8-7-3, 3-5-2 ACC), which just missed a spot in this week's ACC Championship after succumbing to a tiebreaker against Clemson, will now wait to find out its post-season fate when the NCAA Women's Soccer Selection Committee announces the 64-team field on Monday, November 12, on ESPNews between 8-8:30 p.m. ET.
