GREENSBORO, N.C. - Boston College's Natalie Crutchfield and Wake Forest's Jill Hutchinson have been selected to share Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week accolades for helping their respective teams post key upset victories in conference action last week. It also marks the third time this season that the league's weekly award has been shared, as Crutchfield earns her first league recognition and Hutchinson receives her second.

A freshman from Acton, Mass., Crutchfield made her first start of the season for the 14th-ranked Boston College Eagles worthwhile as she tallied the lone goal in a thrilling 1-0 win over No. 3 Virginia on Sunday. With three minutes left in the second half, the forward collected the ball in the box on a pass from teammate Gina DiMartino and sent the ball to the far post past a diving Cavalier goalkeeper for the upset victory. The goal was the second of the season for Crutchfield.

Jill Hutchinson Hutchinson, who hails from Wayne, Pa., played a key role in No. 22 Wake Forest's 3-2 upset triumph over 10th-ranked Florida State last Thursday as she tallied four points on two goals. The sophomore forward scored the equalizer at the 60:58 mark and after a 45-minute delay due to inclement weather, she netted the game-winner with less than a minute remaining in regulation. Teammate Ashley Burney sent a cross to Hutchinson, whose first shot was blocked, but she was able to grab the rebound and send the ball to the back in the net.

Boston College and Wake Forest will wrap up the 2007 regular season this week, along with the rest of the league. The Eagles (10-3-3, 3-3-2 ACC), who are one of four teams battling for the remaining three spots in next week's ACC Women's Soccer Championship, travel to Maryland on Thursday for a 7 p.m. nightcap before heading to Virginia Tech for a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday.

The Demon Deacons (9-5-3, 4-2-2 ACC) are also on the road Thursday, traveling to NC State for a 7 p.m. meeting. Wake Forest then returns home to host Miami at Spry Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m., with the match-up also being webcast on ACCSelect.com.
