CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Legendary womens' soccer coach Anson Dorrance will speak about his most recently published book, The Vision of a Champion: Advice and Inspiration from the World's Most Successful Womens' Soccer Coach, in Wilson Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Aug. 6.

Dorrance, who has led the Tar Heels to 17 NCAA National Championships, will begin the free discussion in the Pleasants Family Assembly Room at 5:30 p.m. The book, which blends technical advice with inspiration for players, coaches and parents, will be available for purchase at the discussion, and refreshments will be available beginning at 5 p.m.

Throughout the course of his career with the UNC womens' soccer program, commonly referred to as "The Dynasty," Dorrance has built the credentials to back up his latest book on soccer success. A four-time National Coach of the Year and winningest head womens' soccer coach of all time, Dorrance has trained players like Mia Hamm and Shannon Higgins. In The Vision of a Champion, Dorrance and health and fitness writer Gloria Averbuch construct the blueprint for success in soccer and in life.

The Vision of a Champion is Dorrance's second book. He is also the author of Training Soccer Champions, with Tim Nash, and he has produced the three-part video series, Training Championship Players and Teams.
