RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Following a 2-1 semifinal win over Canada, rising WFU sophomore Kaley Fountain and the U-20 Women's National Team will face undefeated powerhouse Brazil on Thursday at Maracaña Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

Fountain has earned starts for the U.S. in three of five match-ups, including Monday's 2-1 victory over Canada. The Deacon defender has recorded 315 minutes through four games, helping anchor a shutout against Argentina and holding Paraguay to one goal in the Pan Am Games opener.

In her first year with the Demon Deacons, Fountain made the switch from attacker to right back, where she found tremendous success. Fountain's versatility earned the rookie a start at every Deacon contest and despite a mid-season position change, All-ACC Freshmen team honors at the end of the 2006 season.
