COLLEGE PARK, Md. - With the Maryland women's soccer team preparing for the start of its season in a little over a month, three former Terrapins are currently contributing to their respective teams in the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA).

Michelle Demko has played 10 of 14 games while starting five in the midfield for the Philadelphia Charge. Demko has totaled three points this season scoring one goal and recording one assist. She scored her first goal on May 6 against the Bay Area CyberRays for a 3-2 victory. While at Maryland, Demko during captured first-team All-ACC in 1995 and scored the game-winning goal that sent the Terps to their first ever NCAA tournament.

Midfielder Emily Janss has played in 10 of 14 games for the New York Power recording one assist. Her assist came in the 3-1 win over the Boston Breakers on June 6. During her 1999 season at Maryland Janss earned a spot on the All-ACC first team.

Keri Sarver is a forward in the process of establishing herself in her first season with the Washington Freedom and has yet to play in a game. Before becoming a member of the Freedom, Sarver played with the Cleveland Eclipse and Maryland Pride of the W-League. While at Maryland, Sarver was the all-time leader in goals, assists and points.
