MORRISVILLE, N.C. - The Carolina Courage has also added Julia Marslender to their roster as a reserve player. Marslender, who graduated this spring from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will add depth to the Courage's defensive line.

"Julia is a quality young player," Head Coach Marcia McDermott said. "She has great experience, coming out of Carolina. We are excited to have her on our roster."

With the addition of Marlsender, the number of former Tar Heels on the Courage roster increases to eight.

Marslender played at UNC from 1997-2000. She earned a starting position as a senior in 2000 and started every game on defense for the ACC and NCAA champion Tar Heels.
