WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's soccer game against Duke on Oct. 11, 2006 will be televised nationally on Fox Soccer Channel (FSC), as confirmed today by head coach Tony da Luz. The game will mark the first home televised appearance for the Demon Deacons.

"The national exposure this televised game will provide is a huge positive for our program," da Luz said. "Wake Forest received a lot of positive feedback from Fox Soccer Channel on last year's production of the men's game against Virginia and they rewarded us with another opportunity. I hope our fans will come out in droves to support this big event."

Following the televised appearance in 2006, the two teams will meet again for a return televised commitment in either 2007 or 2008, depending on scheduling.

Against the Blue Devils, the Demon Deacons carry a 3-11-1 overall record, including a 2-4-1 mark at Spry Stadium.
