Cavalier Women's Soccer Recruiting Class Ranked Third by Soccer Buzz
May 11, 2005 CHARLOTTESVILLE - The Virginia women's soccer team's incoming class was ranked the third best recruiting class nationally by Soccer Buzz Magazine. The honor marked the third time in the past five seasons that the Cavaliers were ranked in the top three in the publication's recruiting rankings. Virginia trailed only Southern Cal and UCLA in the rankings, while Santa Clara, Tennessee, West Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Texas round out the top ten. Virginia had three players ranked among Soccer Buzz's top 25 incoming U.S. High School recruits, including Nikki Krzysik, the publication's No. 2 ranked American recruit. Kelly Quinn and Jessica Rostedt were also listed as top 25 recruits, while Alli Fries was named a top 50 recruit by Soccer Buzz. Celeste Miles, Sarah Senty, Alex Singer, and Amanda Stewart round out next season's incoming class of Cavaliers. These eight newcomers will join 15 veterans from last year's team that won the ACC Championship and earned a No. 2 national ranking.
