RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State women's soccer kicked off its 2005 spring schedule on Feb. 27 at South Carolina. The match was the first of eight scheduled for the Wolfpack. NC State fell 3-0 at South Carolina, but rebounded with a 2-0 shutout at UNC Greensboro this past Tuesday. The Wolfpack has six more spring matches scheduled for the next three weeks.

Current junior forward Lydia McBath and sophomore midfielder Carol Tognetti both netted goals for NC State in the win at UNCG.

The Wolfpack has six remaining matches before concluding its spring season. NC State travels to Virginia Commonwealth this weekend for two games on Saturday, April 2. The Pack will take on George Washington at 11:40 a.m. and then James Madison at 2:20 p.m.

NC State will spend its next two Saturday afternoons on its home fields, hosting Virginia Commonwealth at Method Road at 2 p.m. on April 9th and the annual ACC Spring Tournament on April 16. The Pack is set to face conference foes Clemson at 9 a.m., Maryland at 10 a.m. and Duke at 3 p.m. at SAS Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.

The matches resemble scrimmages and are not full games. The results do not count on the school's record.

Fans are welcome to attend the matches. Admission is free.
