Terps Drop 2-0 Decision to William & Mary

COLLEGE PARK,Md. - Freshman forward Avery Willis and junior defender Kristin Ryan each scored second half goals to lead No. 15 William & Mary to a 2-0 victory over No. 14 Maryland at Ludwig Field.

Maryland's record is now 8-5-1 while William & Mary improves to 10-1-1.

Willis scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with only 52:22 elapsed in the game. Senior forward Mary Trotman was credited with an assist on the play. Ryan added an insurance goal with 5:41 remaining; it was an unassisted score. Junior goalkeeper Michelle Horbaly recorded three saves in gaining the victory. The Tribe outshot the Terps, 14-4.

Maryland plays host to Florida State in an Atlantic Coach Conference battle Sunday at 2 p.m.
