Jukich and Michels net goals for Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s soccer team scored two goals and shut out their sixth opponent of the season in a 2-0 victory over Longwood Wednesday night at Thompson Field. The Hokies have now matched their win total from last season, improving their record to 8-5-2. Longwood falls to 6-5-2 after the loss.

The Tech offense pressured the Lancers from the very start and never looked back. Junior Emily Jukich almost put the Hokies up 1-0 in the 2nd minute, but her header deflected off the post and out of bounds. In the first 30 minutes of play, Tech outshot Longwood 10-1, but could not break through with a goal.
