TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State women's soccer team lost Friday to Jacksonville University 2-1 at the Seminole Soccer Complex. The Seminoles drop to 4-8-2 as the Dolphins improve to 8-4. "We had the opportuniy to score many times tonight," Head Coach Heather Kerby-Nelson said. "We have to capitalize on our opportunities in order to win and we didn't do that tonight."

The Seminoles scored first when Sally Shelgren chipped a ball over Jacksonville goalkeeper Melissa Cancino in the 35th minute. FSU held JU until the 72:00 when the Dolphins scored on a free kick from 35 yards out. Jacksonville's Stine Kloster scored their winning goal with a chip over Jamie Gurtov's head in the 80th minute, giving the Dolphons the 2-1 win.

"Jamie Gurtov had some great saves tonight," Kerby-Nelson said. "Even the last goal, she was on top of the ball but it was just a good shot."
