Boston College freshman Chelsea Regan scored her second goal of the season to lead the No. 8 ranked Eagles past cross-town rival Boston University, 1-0, in a non-conference match at the Newton Soccer Field. The Eagles are 4-0 in non-conference play, while the Terriers are now 2-3.

Regan, who scored her first goal on Sunday in a 2-1 win over Harvard, struck at 32:47 in the game. Boston University was called for a foul from 35 yards out and to the left of the Terrier goal. BC freshman Hannah Cerrone sent a ball to the far post and Regan came from the outside and headed the ball to the opposite corner past a diving BU goalkeeper Janie Reilly for a 1-0 BC lead.

It was Cerrone's first collegiate point, while Regan now leads the Eagles in scoring with two goals and one assist (five points). The Eagles have out scored their opponents, 7-1, and the defense has earned three shutouts in four games.

Boston College out shot the Terriers, 15-7, and had five corner kicks to BU's 2. Junior Sarah Buonomo earned her fourth win of the season and 10th shutout of her career. She had four saves in the game, while Reilly had six saves, including a diving save to rob Gina DiMartino of a goal in the first half.
