BOULDER, CO--Brooke Lamphere scored the game's lone goal as Denver defeated Clemson 1-0 in the Colorado Women's Soccer Invitational Sunday. Lamphere scored in the 41st minute from an assist by Elise Mascitelli. Clemson will play at Furman on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the opening day of the Carolina's Cup. The Lady Tigers will play Charlotte on Monday night in Greenville on September 11 in the final day of the tournament. "We did a better job and had a better performance today," said Clemson Head Coach Todd Bramble. "The focus was there and we executed the game plan better. We made a valiant effort trying to tie the game in the second half."
