Wake Forest Blanks UNC Wilmington 5-0

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Senior forward Kaley Fountain continued her hot start to the 2009 season with two goals and an assist, while fellow senior forward Jill Hutchinson also scored two goals to lead Wake Forest (3-0-0, 0-0-0 ACC) to a 5-0 win against UNC Wilmington (0-1-0, 0-0-0 CAA) on Wednesday night at Spry Stadium.

The Demon Deacon offense continued its stellar start to the season, adding five goals and attempting 23 shots. Through three games, Wake Forest leads the ACC with 12 goals and 73 shots attempted.

A big part of the offensive story has been Fountain, who now has scored a team-best five goals on the season, scoring at least one goal in each of the first three games of the season. The Austin, Texas, native also notched her first assist of the season on Wednesday night.
