GREENSBORO, N.C. - A trio of All-Americans, 18 CRCA Scholar Athletes and five CRCA All-Region honorees are featured on the 2007 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Rowing Team, as announced Friday by Commissioner John D. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.

For the second year in a row, Virginia leads all ACC schools as the Cavaliers notched 10 selections. UVa boasts an impressive academic contingent with NCAA Varsity Four champions Mary Eddy, Mindy Fiesler and Chrissie Monaghan headlining the lineup. The Cavaliers had a remarkable season as they finished runner-up in the NCAA Championship, won the overall Aramark South/Central Regional and South Region Championship and captured their eighth consecutive ACC championship.

North Carolina secured six spots on the academic team with CRCA All-American and Scholar Athlete Elisabeth McIntee leading the way for the Tar Heels, while Boston College has five

Clemson had four named CRCA Scholar-Athletes including Sarah Cooper, who was a first team CRCA All-Region, and All-ACC performer Suzanne Van Fleet.

Duke and Miami each notched a pair to complete the 30-member academic contingent.

In all, this year's All-ACC Academic Rowing Team includes a trio from the NCAA Varsity Four championship boat, three All-Americans, 18 CRCA National Scholar Athletes, five CRCA All-Region honorees, 11 All-ACC performers, and six members of the ACC's Crew of the Year (Virginia's First Varsity Eight).
