GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland junior Dana Dobbie headlines this year's All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Women's Lacrosse team as announced Monday by Commissioner John D. Swofford. All six league schools competing in women's lacrosse are represented on the honor squad, including six student-athletes who received all-conference accolades.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.

The Duke Blue Devils led all schools with nine honorees on this year's team. The Virginia Tech Hokies and North Carolina Tar Heels placed six student-athletes on the academic squad apiece, followed by Maryland with four selections. Rounding out full ACC representation is Boston College and Virginia, which each tallied three honorees on the honor squad.

In addition to Dobbie, players recognized that earned All-Conference honors this past spring were Duke's Carolyn Davis, Leigh Jester, and Kristen Waagbo, North Carolina's Christina Juras and Virginia's Jess Wasilewski. Dobbie led the Blue Devils with 79 draw controls and 39 ground balls this season. The junior scored a team-high five game-winning goals.
