Virginia's Jane Miller has been selected for induction into the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2003. Miller served as a US Squad coach for six years and was on the staff for the US at the 1986 IFWLA World C up, which was held in the USA. She is Virginia's all-time winningest coach, compiling a record of 145-44 from 1984-1995. During that span she won two NCAA titles (1991, 1993) and was named the Division I Coach of the Year in 1991 by the IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association). Miller is already a member of the Northeastern University, Commonwealth of Virginia, and the New England Lacrosse Halls of Fame.

Currently the University of Virginia Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Programs, Miller was also the head field hockey coach at Virginia from 1983-91 and her teams compiled a record of 100-65-7 in nine seasons. The native of Easton, Mass., came to Virginia from Longwood College where she spent two seasons a s head coach of women's basketball and four seasons as head coach of women's lacrosse. Her lacrosse teams compiled a combined record of 30-20-1 and captured a Division III state title. Miller also had coaching stops at Milton Academy in Milton, Mass., an d at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.

Miller's Cavaliers advanced to six semfinal rounds, including four consecutive from 1991-1994. She coached four national players of the year while at Virginia, including Cherie Greer, who was named to the USLacrosse Team of the Century in 2000.

Miller is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. In May of 1999, she received the Woman of Achie vement Award from the UVa Women's Faculty and P rofessional Association.

Miller is the third member of the Virginia women's lacrosse family to be inducted to the US Lacrosse National Hall of Fame, following the induction of Heather Dow and Julie Williams in 2002.
